Not Looking

These images explore ideas about the consumption of images and the experience of women as commodities.

In these images the dolls - symbols of feminisation - seem to be looking at you. But you, the viewer, are looking at them.

From time to time, I have revisited these images and used the negatives to develop different techniques, including bas relief and printing through various transparent media.

So I too am a consumer, and am complicit in their exploitation.
